Deportivo moved up to seventh in the table after a 0-1 win at bottom club Numancia, and Lotina's side are on track for a return to Europe next season. The Galicians dominated for much of the match, with Lafita in particular in excellent form.

The ex Zaragoza forward set up young striker Lassad for him to hit the post early on, and had an effort cleared off the line by Boris with the keeper beaten later in the first half. And with a quarter of an hour to go it was Lafita again who put Juan Rodríguez away for him to score the only goal of the match, beating Juan Pablo with an angled shot.
