Numancia have not given up the struggle to avoid relegation, and they moved off the bottom of the table pending Recreativo's game on Sunday after beating Málaga 2-0 on Saturday night.

With only a minute on the clock Moreno volleyed home Aranda's cross, and only a good save from Goitia prevented Goiria from adding a second a few minutes later. But ten minutes after the restart the locals were left with a man short after the striker was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Despite the numerical advantage though, the locals went further ahead when Del Pino intercepted a bad clearance and ran on to curl a shot past the keeper. Juan Pablo was called upon to make a couple of saves after that, but in the end the Soria based side could have won by a bigger margin, Goitia saving an Aranda penalty near the end after the striker was fouled by Apoño.
