0-1. 54. Higuaín. Steered header wide of César from Benzema's chipped cross.
1-1. 61. David Villa. Got ahead of Casillas to head Matieu cross in to empty net.
1-2. 65. Higuaín. Ran on to Marcelo's pass and fired shot inside near post.
2-2. 80. Joaquín. Struck shot from right of area which Casillas deflected in to net.
2-3. 83. Garay. Got in between defence to head Xavi Alonso free kick past César.

Real Madrid stay five points behind leaders Barcelona with a game in hand after a 2-3 victory over third placed Valencia. All the goals came after the break, Higuaín heading the visitors in to the lead from Benzema's cross before Villa got on the end of Matieu's centre to equalise. Higuaín restored the lead after Marcelo set him up, and although Joaquín levelled the scores once again, substitute Garay headed Xabi Alonso's long free kick past César for the winner.
