Draws by Depor and Athletic later on Saturday evening meant that Mallorca stay in fifth place spite despite a 3-0 defeat at Getafe in the first match of the weekend. Aouate had to save from Pedro León before Dani Parejo got on the end of Gavilán's cross to open the scoring on the half hour mark. The visiting keeper kept out Casquero and León again after the restart, but with ten minutes to go he was beaten for a second time when Miku ran on to Parejo's through ball to drive a shot past him. Five minutes later Nunes was sent off for blocking the ball on the line with his hand, and Manu fired home the resulting penalty to give Michel's side their first victory since the mid-point of the season seven games ago.
