Espanyol and Sporting Gijón shared the points in a 0-0 draw on Sunday evening. Even though they have scored less goals than anyone this season, the locals have not lost in their new Cornellà stadium since the beginning of December, and for the sixth time this season their game ended without goals. It was not for lack of trying though, Callejón going close twice early on and Juan Pablo making a brilliant reaction save from a Pareja header before the break. Osvaldo tried his luck several times as well before he was replaced by Iván Alonso, who also failed to find the target. Kameni had little to do though in the local goal, and in the end both sides settled for a point.
