Ponferradina and Granada will both be playing in the second division next season after they won their respective "Group Champions" play-offs, but they still had to meet over two legs to decide the overall second division B champions. The Andalusians have the edge though after a 0-1 victory away from home in the Toralín stadium. The only goal came seven minutes from the end, Berrocal getting on the end of a Javi Casares cross to beat Alejandro.
Sant Andreu and Alcorcón have a second chance after losing the champions play-offs, and both are on track for the final round of the second phase after good results away from home. Sant Andreu beat Universidad Las Palmas 0-2, Mayor volleying the Barcelona based side in to the lead shortly before the break, and Miguélez scrambling home a second in the final minute. Alcorcón were held to a 0-0 draw by Pontevedra, and although they were unable to score that vital away goal, they have home advantage for the second leg in Madrid next weekend. Both teams will be missing a player for that match though after Charles and Fernando Béjar were sent off later on in the game.
A 0-0 draw as well between Real Jaén and Barcelona Athletic, a result which favours Luis Enrique's young side. The Andalusians had the better chances though, Galdós hitting the bar before the break and Esparza bringing a good save out of Oier after the restart. .The other tie is in the balance after Ontinyent beat Eibar 2-1. Paco Montañés opened the scoring for the locals after Zigor saved from Fran Moreno with just over an hour on the clock. But Urzelei equalised after Arruabarrena played on Codina's free kick, and the game appeared to be heading for a draw until Matas struck home a last minute winner. (30.05.10)
