Six more goals in the
Champions League this week, with Kluivert and Rivaldo scoring for Barcelona and
Diego Tristán and Figo both adding to their totals from the penalty
spot. Rivaldo got two more in the league at the weekend, taking him to within
one of our leaders, although he will not be featuring in club games for the
next 15 days or so as he is off, together with Roberto Carlos, to play for
Brazil. Several other clubs will be losing players during that period,
including Ayala, Aimar and Kily from Valencia and Darío Silva from
Málaga, and Real Madrid may also lose Zidane and Makelele, both called
up by France for their friendly in Australia.
Raúl kept up his
battle with Kluivert at the top of our table with a last minute goal at
Villarreal to give his side the three points. Figo got another penalty in that
game to enter our chart, and Saviola also comes back in after getting
Barça's first against Betis. Mostovoi saved a point for his side with a
last minute header against Valladolid after Tote had given the visitors the
lead with his fifth of the season, making it a four horse race at the moment
for the league's top scorer. Other scorers of note were Musampa, who got two
for Málaga at Zaragoza, and Coloccini, who got his third in eight days
for Alavés. (29.10.01) |
