Pichichis
The top three all scored again this week to keep up their fight for the Pichichi prize. Raúl got his 25th of the season, scoring the only goal of the match at Celta late in the game to take Real Madrid temporarily to the top of the table. Diego Tristán got the first of Deportivo's two goals against Juventus, leaving them sitting pretty in their Champions League group, and Kluivert netted his second hat-trick of the season, albeit with two penalties, to move a goal behind Morientes in the league's Pichichi race. Both penalties were on Saviola, who also scored himself to move on to fourteen for the season in all competitions. Curiously all eleven of his league goals have come in the Nou Camp. Tristán was given a rest at the weekend in view of the impending cup final, and in his absence Makaay stepped in to score the winner at Sevilla. Not a bad replacement to have in reserve. Tamudo consolidated his claim for a place in Camacho's World Cup squad with his twelfth of the season, and youngsters Fernando and Tiko showed once again that Spain's future is in good hands, each scoring their tenth goal of the current campaign.
