Pichichis

Some good results in Europe this week, especially at Milan where Deportivo won for the first time thanks to goals by last year's Pichichi Diego Tristán and this year's (so far at least) Roy Makaay. The three other Spanish teams in the Champions League were already qualified for the next round, so many of the reserves got a run out. Juan Sánchez got a couple for Valencia, Dani got his first in 18 months for Barça and Tote scored his sixth for Real Madrid in only his third game of the season.

All but Alavés went through in the UEFA cup, with Musampa getting the winner for Málaga and Casas and Joaquín (from the penalty spot) scoring for Betis. Joaquín scored again at the weekend, a controversial goal from an offside position which gave his side the three points against Celta.

Other big names appear on our list this week, including Urzaiz, who has finally returned to form after a bad start to the season, and Pandiani, who has scored six in the last three games as Mallorca recorded their seventh straight win. Rubén Navarro moved ahead of his Alavés team mate Iván Alonso with his seventh of the season against Recreativo. (19.11.02)
