Another low scoring week in
the league, and in the first 20 games of the season nobody has got more than
two in any match. Eto'o currently heads the field thanks to two penalties in
the league and another goal in the Supercup, and his strike partner Bruggink
also got on the scoresheet again this week. The old names are already starting
to show their faces, and this week sees the re-entry of Kovacevic, Javi
Guerrero, Milosevic and Pandiani. The last two are playing in different shirts
this season though, Milosevic switching from Espanyol via Parma to Celta, and
Pandiani returning from Mallorca to Deportivo. Sonny Anderson is also back,
although it has been a few years since he last appeared in the Pichichi
columns, in Spain at least. He is the third Villarreal player to make the
chart, which is understandable as they did get a head start on everyone else
thanks to their good run in the Intertoto cup. (08.09.03) |
