A curious week this one, and
although some 35 goals were scored in all (11 in Europe and 24 in the league),
only two of our top scorers managed to get their names on the scorecard.
Ronaldo was one of them, and he took advantage to distance himself from the
rest with a goal in the Champions League midweek and another to save a point at
Osasuna on Saturday. He is already looking an odds-on favourite to take this
year's title. Racing Santander's Bodipo was the other top striker to score, and
his goal at Athletic Bilbao helped the Cantabrians move up to the brink of the
European spots. (01.12.03) |
