Another round of midweek
league matches this week, as the calendar is shortened for the Euro 2004
championships next summer. Without doubt the man of the day was Málaga's
Salva, who bounced back from the humiliation of being loaned on twice by
Valencia to score a hat-trick for his new club in their 5-1 thrashing of
Barcelona. The Andalucians are trying to find a way to pay his buy-out clause
and purchase him outright, but after this performance his price will have gone
up.
Ronaldo inevitably got his
goal again this week, and this time it only took thirteen seconds before he had
scored against arch rivals Atlético. Raúl added a second to prove
he is not as off-form as people think. Eto'o consolidated his second place
behind Ronaldo with his eleventh of the season, Elsewhere Darío Silva
got one for Sevilla as they beat Racing 0-4 and Tiko comes back into our chart
after scoring his sixth of the season. (05.12.03) |
