Diego Tristán was the
man on form this week, scoring three goals between cup and league. His strike
against Atlético in the Copa del Rey was not enough to take his side
through though, although his two in the league did help to keep Depor in touch
with Valencia and Real Madrid. And speaking of Madrid, Ronaldo once again
bailed them out both in the cup and the league, taking his tally with the club
to 50 in all competitions in just a season and a half. There were penalty goals
in the cup too for Ronaldinho and David Villa, who will face off against each
other in the next round, and Salva got his third in the tournament, although it
will be his last as Málaga fell to Celta over the two legs. Fernando
Torres kept up his good form in the league with his third in two games, making
him the top scoring Spaniard in the race for the Pichichi, and Milosevic and
Sonny Anderson both scored as well to make it ten in all competitions.
