Pichichis

With players away on international duty there were no official midweek club games, and there were only 21 goals at the weekend, back to normal following the 35 from the week before. Ronaldo kept up his drive for the Golden Boot though, and he got two more against Espanyol, including one from the penalty spot as both Figo and Beckham were absent. Salva is the top Spanish striker, and he also scored from the penalty spot to take his league tally to 14, well below Ronaldo's 21. Probably the best goal of the weekend though was from David Villa in Zaragoza's 4-1 win over Villarreal, his thirteenth of the season. The only goal for the visitors came from Riquelme, another penalty, taking the ex Boca Juniors and Barcelona star on to nine for the season in all competitions. (23.02.04)
