Pichichis

A good performance by Spain in their last match before the Euro 2004 squad is named, with Fernando Torres getting his first goal at full international level as Iñaki Sáez's side drew 1-1 with Italy. The youngster scored another for his club in their 3-2 win over Celta (for whom Milosevic scored as well) taking them back up to the UEFA cup spots. It was in fact a high scoring weekend, with 33 goals in all. Saviola, Baptista and Eto'o all getting two goals each, Eto'o in particular celebrating his award as African footballer of the year, and Ronaldinho getting another as Barcelona closed up on the top two. Diego Tristán returned to Depor's side to score an important goal against Real Madrid, and Salva and Tamudo both got their names on the scoresheet to remind Sáez that they are both around.
