The midweek round of matches
produced some 23 goals, although 16 of those came in three games. Valencia were
the top scorers of the day with five at Deportivo, Di Vaio, Baraja and Vicente
all getting their names on the scoresheet as Ranieri's side move to the top of
the table. Pandiani got one back later on to join Di Vaio at the top of our
chart, his fourth goal in successive games in the league, although it was
little conosolation. And Barcelona and Málaga got four each against
Zaragoza and Numancia respectively, with Eto'o getting two for the Catalans and
the Málaga twin strike force of Wanchope and Amoroso finally getting
under way. (24.09.04) |
