He is still three behind Eto'o though, who scored his 16th in the league and 19th in all competitions as Barcelona thrashed Sevilla 0-4. There was a similar result in San Sebastian, where Villarreal kept up their terrific form with a convincing win over Real Sociedad. Riquelme got one and Forlán got two more to take his tally to 13, second only to Eto'o in the league Pichichi race.

Fernando Torres was relieved to get his name on the scoresheet again for the first time since the first week of December, albeit that it needed a penalty for him to do so. That is nothing though compared to Di Vaio, who had not scored in the league since the 3rd of October before finding the net of Sunday.
