Pichichis

Betis were on target in the cup midweek, although they needed all four goals they got to beat a battling Gramanet. Oliveira got the winner though, and he scored again at the weekend to take his tally in all competitions to fifteen. His fellow Brazilian and city rival Baptista is still ahead of him in our chart though after coming on as a late substitute and scoring against Levante at the weekend. Diego Forlán and Riquelme kept up their deadly combination, both getting their names on the scoresheet to make it five wins in a row for their side, and Raúl got a couple as Real Madrid put the pressure on Barcelona. They were unable to respond though, Fernando Torres scoring in the first and last minute to hand them a first home defeat in over a year. Elsewhere Yeste cored from the penalty spot to take his side through in the cup, and there were goals galore in the game between Real Sociedad and Valencia, Nihat getting a brace for the home side and Di Vaio and Baraja amongst the scorers for the visitors. Baraja comes back in to our chart this week, as does Diego Tristán, who scored a late penalty to save a point for Depor. (07.02.05)
