Pichichis

The goals rained in this week, and nowhere more so than in Bilbao, where Athletic and Betis played out a thrilling 4-4 draw. Oliveira got a hat-trick for the visitors, and Urzaiz (2) and Yeste were amongst the scorers for the hosts. Oliveira moves level with his Brazilian neighbour Baptista, who got both goals for his side as they ended Villarreal's nine match unbeaten run, despite a late penalty from Riquelme. Both stay two goals behind our leader Eto'o though, who scored again as Barcelona trounced Zaragoza 1-4.

Nihat got two more for Real Sociedad this weekend, and he has been averaging a goal a game for the last 12 matches. If rumours are to be believed however he won't be around to help them for too much longer as his club have received a big offer from CSKA Moscow. Michael Owen's name was also on the transfer rumours page this week, and he staked his claim for a place in the Real Madrid starting line up once again, coming on to equalise against Osasuna within minutes of making his appearance.

Elsewhere Luis García got a much needed winner for Mallorca from the penalty spot against Albacete, and Di Vaio got his third in as many games, although in his case to little avail as his side lost. (14.02.05)
