A midweek round of matches
this week, with all first division sides in action. Eto'o failed to score in
Tuesday night's 0-0 draw between city rivals Barcelona and Espanyol, and
Baptista, Diego Forlán and Fernando Torres all took advantage on
Wednesday to close up on the leader (Baptista could have been just one behind
if he hadn't missed a second penalty late on). Michael Owen kept up his scoring
record as Real Madrid narrowed the gap with Barça to six points after a
3-1 win over Betis, Edu getting the goal for the visitors. Finally Diego
Tristán and Pacheco scored again to return to our chart, joining the
group on nine goals in all competitions. (03.03.05) |
