Pichichis

A third round of league matches in eight days, with Samuel Eto'o extending his lead (and that of Barcelona) at the top of the table after scoring the only goal against Osasuna. Ronaldo finally ended a goal drought which has lasted since 16th January when he got Real Madrid's equaliser at Valencia, keeping him one behind Fernando Torres, who beat a poor offside trap to score against Sevilla. Ezquerro is also on 16 after getting one of Athletic's goals against Albacete, a match in which Julen Guerrero finally scored his 100th league goal (our more astute readers will have spotted we gave Ezquerro a goal he didn't get in week 20 which we have now corrected). Elsewhere Maxi's goal took Espanyol up to third in the table, Riquelme kept Villarreal in fourth spot, Luis García helped Mallorca to a much needed win, Diego Tristán gave Deportivo victory against Málaga and Marcos Assunçao (new to our chart this week) scored his seventh in eight games.
