A third round of league
games in eight days as the calendar is squeezed to make room for next summer's
World Cup in Germany. Only 20 goals were scored as legs began to tire, the
lowest tally since the opening day of the season. And a quarter of those came
at the Nou Camp, where Barcelona cranked up a gear to beat Real Sociedad 5-0
and move up to second in the table. An inspired Ronaldinho scored twice to move
level with his team mate Eto'o at the top of our table.
Spain's manager Luis
Aragonés was at the Riazor stadium to spy on Munitis and Riki, but it
was forgotten man Diego Tristán who scored Deportivo's winner against
Getafe. And another Diego, this time "Pichichi" Forlán, got an injury
time equaliser for Villarreal at Atlético to take his team up to sixth
in the table. (31.10.05) |
