Barcelona continue to
dominate the Pichichi chart, with Eto'o and Ronaldinho way ahead of the rest.
The Camerooni striker scored one of the goals of the season in the 4-1 win over
Racing, and "El Gaucho" made it 50 goals for his club after getting a penalty
later on (despite missing one earlier). Ronaldinho also scored in the Champions
League win over Werder Bremen, and goes on this week to pick up France
Football's "Golden Ball" prize as the best footballer in the world. Eto'o was
voted in tenth place, the only other Spanish based footballer in the top ten.
David Villa holds on to
third spot in our chart after scoring against Celta, but with so many strikers
injured (Raúl, Ronaldo, Oliveira, Dani, Forlán etc.), the only
other of our top Pichichis to add to their tallies were midfielders Riquelme,
Xabi Prieto (another penalty), Nené and Paunovic, who scored twice as
Getafe returned to winning ways against Málaga. (28.11.05)
