Goals returned this weekend
after the record low in the last round of matches, with 29 in all.
Kanouté stretched his lead to two with one of Sevilla's four at Levante,
but Ronaldinho moved level with Van Nistelrooy in second spot thanks to a
penalty against Celta. David Villa is fourth after scoring at Betis, and Diego
Milito rises back to fifth place after a penalty against Deportivo. Saviola got
another of Barcelona's goals, taking his overall tally to twelve, and
Güiza put in another reminder to Luis Aragonés with a brace against
Osasuna. Elsewhere Betis striker Robert had a good week, scoring once in his
side's 1-1 draw with Barcelona midweek, and then getting two more to help his
side beat Valencia on Sunday and move out of the bottom three. He now has six,
the same number as Giuly (Barcelona), Nené (Celta) and Zigic (Racing)
after all three got on their respective scoresheets this weekend. (29.01.07)
