Pichichis

Ronaldinho's rest seems to have done him some good, the Barcelona forward coming back from a brief lay-off to score both goals for his side against Racing. He is now level with Kanouté and one ahead of Van Nistelrooy, the Man U old boy saving the head of coach Capello in combination with his ex team mate David Beckham. Diego Milito was also on target to keep up his push for the Pichichi trophy, although his strike was later cancelled out as Zaragoza lost at Mallorca, thanks to a late strike from Jankovic.

Goals as well for some of Spain's new faces, Soldado leading the pack with a brace at Nàstic and Güiza getting his fifth since the turn of the year as Getafe once again humiliated Valencia. Luis García also got his name on the scoresheet, as did Pandiani, as Espanyol sunk Celta further into the mire, and Sinama-Pongolle converted a penalty at Levante to increase his tally in the league to eight.
