Espanyol's Pandiani set a
new European club record in the UEFA cup midweek, his penalty goal his eighth
of the season in the competition. The man on form though is Kanouté, and
he extended his lead at the top of the chart with a penalty in his side's UEFA
cup tie, and two more in the league at the weekend. Ronaldinho and Diego Milito
didn't lose too much ground though as both were on target in the league, and
Baiano got his first in eight games to help Celta to a much needed win. Luis
García kept up his good recent form with a brace, and there were goals
too for Jankovic, Angulo and Zigic, who is back in our rankings once again.
