Pichichis

Back again after another break for international matches, with 30 goals being scored in the league this weekend. There were first defeats though for top two Real Madrid and Barcelona at Espanyol and Villarreal respectively, the only glimmer of light for the Blaugrana a first goal for 17 year old Bojan Krkic, who becomes the third youngest goalscorer of all time in La Liga after Xisco Nadal (Villarreal) and Mena (Valencia). Valencia and Sevilla bounced back though after their recent poor results, Morientes and Luis Fabiano getting a brace each for their respective sides in wins against Deportivo and Levante.

A roller coaster ride for Atlético Madrid, who lost heavily at Barcelona a fortnight ago but thrashed Zaragoza 4-0 this weekend. Maxi got two, including a penalty, after Luis García and Diego Forlán had put Javier Aguirre's side two up by the break. Mallorca are right up there too though, Güiza scoring early on in a 0-2 win at Recre, and Athletic Bilbao's Aduríz comes in to our chart this week as well after netting two against his old club Valladolid.
