Pichichis

Cup and league matches this week, with lots of goals from our leading Pichichis. Luis Fabiano stays ahead of the pack after netting one of Sevilla's goals at Getafe, but his 13 in the league have been matched by Diego Milito, who scored twice as Zaragoza finally got back on the winning trail under new coach Garitano. Oliveira got the third against Murcia, and both scored in the cup midweek as well, although they were not enough to prevent them being knocked out by Racing.

Van Nistelrooy is only one behind the two Pichichis though, he and Raúl both scoring in a 0-2 win against old rivals Atlético. Güiza and Nihat both have eleven, the former scoring two at Levante and the latter getting one of Villarreal's three against neighbours Valencia. Henry got Barcelona's winner against Racing, and Llorente completed an excellent week, following up last weekend's hat-trick with one in the cup and two more in the league. His cup goal was cancelled out by one from Atlético's Agüero though, the latter being more important as it was away from home, and Rossi was also on target in the cup, the Villarreal striker getting an extra time winner against Recre. Quite a week! (21.01.08)
