Pichichis

The big news on the goalscoring front in the midweek round of fixtures was probably that Messi didn't score after netting eleven times in five games. Ibrahimovic and Bojan did find the target though as Barcelona beat Osasuna to throw down the gauntlet to a Real Madrid side who responded the following day with four goals in the first half against neighbours Getafe, Cristiano Ronaldo and Higuaín sharing the tally between them to make it ten league wins in a row. Later on Thursday evening Real's other neighbours Atlético Madrid beat Athletic Bilbao with strikes from the deadly duo Forlán and Agüero, and there were also goals during the week for Kanouté, Nino, Nilmar, Rossi, Diego Castro and David Villa, who spent the night in hospital after picking up a knock on the head against Málaga.
