Cristiano Ronaldo’s penalty against Atlético Madrid takes him to the top of our chart this week, although that will be small consolation for him as Real Madrid lost once again at home to their city rivals. That left them already six points behind leaders Barcelona, who beat Athletic Bilbao 2-0 with two late goals by substitute Neymar. Valencia are currently second after a 3-1 win against Espanyol, curiously Piatti, Parejo and Paco Alcácer (the three “P”s!) all scoring for the second game in a row, with Sergio García getting a last minute consolation from the spot for the visitors. And Sevilla are level on seven points with Valencia and Atlético, Bacca (also a penalty) and Aleix Vidal netting in a 2-0 victory over Getafe. The actual “Pichichis” in the league though are Rayo’s Alberto Bueno and Celta’s Orellana, both of whom scored their third of the season, with Orellana’s team-mate Larrivey getting his side’s second in a 2-2 draw against Real Sociedad, and elsewhere Córdoba’s Fede Cartabia got his (and his team’s!) second goal of the season in a 1-1 draw at Almería on Friday night.
