A double header this week, with league games midweek and at the weekend. (02.10.18)

Week 6. Big surprises, with leaders Barcelona and Real Madrid both beaten. Barça lost 2-1 at bottom club Leganés, El Zhar getting one of the goals for the locals, and Madrid were beaten 3-0 by Sevilla, with André Silva netting twice and Ben Yedder making it three before half time. Elsewhere Willian José and Iago Aspas both scored late goals to save a point for their respective sides.

Week 7. On Saturday Barça struggled to draw 1-1 with Athletic Bilbao, and Real Madrid were held to a scoreless draw by city rivals Atlético. Sevilla took advantage to move to within a point of the joint leaders in the table after winning 1-3 at Eibar, André Silva starting things off, and Banega adding two more, including a penalty. Stuani also converted a penalty as Girona drew 1-1 at Huesca, and Maxi Gómez got the goal for Celta, who also drew 1-1 against Getafe on Monday.
