Four red cards this week, with two in the game between Bilbao and Barcelona, Urrutia and Dutruel. Whether Dutruel touched Etxeberria depends on whether you read the Barcelona or Madrid based sports papers, but it is fairly academic at the end. The penalty and the goal still stand. Txema's sending off against Deportivo may have cost his side the game. One who didn't was our villain of the week Marioni. Villarreal still won despite playing against Alavés with 10 men from the 13th minute. Marioni, who already picked up a yellow card last week, laid down the gauntlet to last year's leading villain Téllez, by elbowing him in the face, leaving him with a deep gash which had to have stitches. Earlier the Argentinian had upset his opponents by refusing to return the ball after they had put it out to attend an injured player. And the winner is..... (17.9.00)
