Villains

As usual Real Madrid were in the news again this week, but this time it was for the wrong reasons, Camacho's side ending the game at Espanyol with nine men after Samuel picked up a second yellow card a quarter of an hour from the end on his league debut, and Salgado was shown a straight red card in the last minute for elbowing an opponent. Both will be suspended for the midweek match against Osasuna, and they could be joined by Guti, who was reported by the referee for insulting the fourth official at the end of the match. Only one other red card apart from that, Numancia's Pignol getting his marching orders after picking up a red card early in the second half against Getafe. (21.09.04)
