Villains

A very quiet week on the villains front, with only one red card in the ten matches. Betis defender was the unlucky man, picking up a second booking in the second half of their match at Getafe. The disciplinary committees were in action midweek, overturning two of the red cards shown in the match between Sevilla and Valencia from the week before. Aranda's was the first to be ruled out (see last week's report), and Baraja had his second yellow card put on the hold by the CEDD on Friday pending a hearing, allowing him to play against Real Madrid. This week they won't have much to do though, the only man to reach the five yellow card threshold being Málaga's Fernando Sanz. (25.10.04)
