Villains

Poor old Ayala! He had been waiting several months to make his come back from an injury, and on his first match back he gets himself sent off for bringing down Sevilla's Saviola as he advanced on goal near the end of the game. The Argentine defender was one of four players to be shown a red card this weekend, the other three all coming from the Basque clubs, Real Sociedad's new signing Viáfara was sent off for the second time since joining in the winter after picking up two bookings in the defeat at Getafe. And Urzaiz and Delporte got their marching orders after tussling towards the end of the derby game between Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna, the striker stepping in rather too forcefully to defend a colleague as the excitable French midfielder stood menacingly over him. Curiously only two others are facing one match bans after picking up their fifth bookings of the season, Delporte's team mate Muñoz and Zaragoza midfielder Generelo. A quiet weekend for a change!
