Three red cards at the weekend, starting with Real Madrid defender Cannavaro, who was let off a couple of times before being shown a second yellow card in the derby match at Atlético. Espanyol's Jarque was sent off after catching an opponent with a flying elbow in the game at Osasuna, and Levante's Descarga also saw red for a heavy tackle late in the match against Zaragoza. They will be joined on the sidelines next weekend by nine other players, including Atlético's Luccin and Real Madrid's Diarra, both of whom picked up their tenth bookings of the season. Their respective team mates Galletti and Guti also face a one match ban for a fifth yellow card, as do Sergio (Deportivo), Belenguer (Getafe), López Rekarte (Real Sociedad) and "the boxer" Luis Fabiano (Sevilla).
