Villains

Mallorca's Ballesteros rockets to the top of our chart this week (Recre coach Víctor permitting!) after getting sent off for the second time this season. The veteran defender got his marching orders for giving away a first half penalty on Espanyol's Tamudo, although numbers were evened up when Clemente Rodríguez was sent off soon after the restart for a second bookable offence.

Three other red cards on Sunday, Deportivo's Sergio for a second booking late in the game at Real Madrid, Osasuna's Corrales for insulting the referee after he was booked late on against Valladolid, and Zaragoza defender Pavón for a foul on Villarreal's Rossi in the dying minutes of their match. Zaragoza will have trouble piecing together a defence in their next fixture after Ayala picked up his fifth yellow card of the season, and he together with Levante's Pignol and Racing's Oscar Serrano will have to sit out the midweek round of games.
