Villains

A disastrous night for Valencia was summed up when Spanish international Raúl Albiol was sent off for fouling Real Madrid's Robinho, although by then his side had let in five and it didn't make much difference.

Betis right back Damià was also red carded near the end for a second bookable offence as the Andalusians fell to a heavy defeat against Osasuna, and Athletic defender Amorebieta was shown his second red card of the season, again for a second yellow late on with his side already losing by two goals at Getafe.

Mallorca keeper Moyà was the fourth player to be sent off in the midweek round of games, his dismissal coming for giving away a penalty on Deportivo's Bodipo close to half time. At least they didn't lose!

Two other players will be sitting out this weekend's games as well, Murcia's Peña who picked up his fifth booking of the season, and Osasuna's Corrales who was eventually given a two match ban for insulting the referee in their match last weekend. (02.11.07)
