Villains

Sevilla's Keita became the latest victim of Leo Messi, the Sevilla midfielder getting his marching orders after picking up a second booking for a foul on the Barcelona star in the second half of their game. Other than a red card though for Barça's delegate Carlos Naval for insulting the referee, at the end of the match, it was a relatively quiet weekend.

Six players though will be joining Keita on the sidelines this weekend for accumulation of yellow cards, including his team-mate Daniel Alves, who was let off a fifth booking to play against Barcelona, but who was cautioned once again. Elsewhere Perea (Atlético) and Peña (Murcia) both picked up their tenth yellow cards of the season, and Descarga (Levante), Arizmendi (Valencia) and Capdevila (Villarreal) were all shown their fifth.
