Villains

Who would have thought that Van Nistelrooy would be heading up this chart? "Van The Man" is chasing David Villa in the Pichichis' table, but a red card just before half time in the city derby against Atlético Madrid for a hard tackle on Maniche was his second sending off of the season. Van Nistelrooy was the second player to be shown a red card in the match, Atlético's Perea preceding him down the tunnel after catching Sneijder with his arm while shrugging off a challenge a few minutes earlier.

Two more red cards as well this weekend, including one for a second bookable offence for our old favourite Luccin, a former award-winning "Villain". The French midfielder has changed clubs again, but it seems his habits have stayed the same! Another Osasuna player got his marching orders as well, Roversio the fourth member of their squad to be shown a red card this season after he gave away a penalty on Sporting's Bilic shorlty before half time. New coach Camacho will have something to say about that! (20.10.08)
