Four red cards in the cup midweek, including two in the tie between Villarreal and Poli Ejido. Talking of frustration, Real Madrid's Heinze got his marching orders for a second bookable offence as the defending league champions were beaten 1-0 by Valladolid on Saturday. The centre back was the only player to be sent off at the weekend, the only other red card being for Málaga's over-argumentative physical trainer. Four other players will miss the next round of matches however, Lopo (Deportivo), Pinillos (Racing), César Arzo (Recreativo) and Albelda (Valencia) all picking up their fifth bookings of the season.
