Málaga's Weligton was given a provisional pardon by the appeals committee for his red card in the cup, although it was a fairly pointless gesture as he had already served out his one match ban last weekend!

This weekend our villains were on best behaviour, the only red card being for Almería's Guilherme. The Brazilian full back was sent off in the eighth minute of the game at Osasuna for a tackle on Azpilicueta which wouldn't have been out of place in the World Wrestling Federation!

Guilherme will be joined on the sidelines next week by Orbaiz (Athletic), Navas (Sevilla) and Gonzalo (Villarreal), all of whom picked up their fifth bookings of the season. (25.11.08)
