No incidents of note in the midweek cup semi-finals, but there were another five red cards at the weekend. There were straight red cards for Mané (Almería), Torrejón (Espanyol) and Yeste (Athletic), and Corrales (Mallorca) and Duscher (Sevilla) were both sent off for second bookable offences. Torrejón's red card was later downgraded to yellow by the disciplinary committee.

The rest will be suspended for one game, except for Mané, who picked up a second match ban after receiving his fifth booking of the season earlier in the game at Málaga. Three Betis players, Arzu, Nelson and Damià will also miss next weekend's fixture due to accumulation of yellow cards, and Antonio Tomás (Deportivo), Jarque (Espanyol), Soldado (Getafe), Martí (Mallorca), Boris (Numancia), Pandiani (Osasuna), Van der Vaart (Real Madrid) and Escudé (Sevilla) will also be absent for the same reason.
