Valladolid's Luis Prieto was the only player to be sent off with a straight red card this weekend, the defender getting his marching orders near the end of the game at Deportivo. Goiria (Numancia), Sergio Fernández (Osasuna) and Konko (Sevilla) were also sent off for second bookable offences, and Sporting assistant coach Tejada was despatched to the stands after he too picked up two bookings.

They will be joined on the sidelines next weekend by another five players who completed the five yellow card cycle, including Fernando Navarro (Sevilla), the first to reach fifteen bookings, Apoño (Málaga), who has ten, and Brit (Numancia), Nekounam (Osasuna) and Iván Hernández (Sporting).
