Villains

Five red cards in the midweek round of matches, curiously all of them coming in just two games. On Tuesday night Real Madrid lost Pepe to two yellow cards in five minutes for fouls on Espanyol's Callejón, but just forty seconds later Galán was shown a straight red for a high tackle on Cristiano Ronaldo. And a few minutes before the final whistle Forlín was also sent off for a second bookable offence, leaving the visitors with nine men. Two days later Getafe's Rafa and Málaga's Jesús Gámez were also sent for an early bath after they both picked up two yellow cards midway through the second half of their match. (25.09.10)
