Villains

The baddies this weekend were the coaches, with three of the six red cards being shown to managers and their technical staff. Garrido (Villarreal coach), Oltra (Almería coach) and Carcedo (Valencia assistant) were all given two match bans after showing disrespect to the officials. Elsewhere Hércules left back Pulhac got his marching orders for a second bookable offence, as did Almería's Ulloa and Luna in the Monday night game at Málaga. One of Ulloa's yellow cards was overturned on appeal though, but he will still miss the midweek round of games as the other yellow card was his fifth of the season. He will be joined on the sidelines by Botía (Sporting) and Diogo (Zaragoza), who both picked up their tenth bookings, and also Bernadello (Almería), Gámez (Málaga), Martí (Mallorca) and Bruno and Topal (both Valencia), who all received their fifth.
