Villains

Mourinho said it himself, "I'm going to train with ten men for the game against Barça, as every time my team plays against them someone is sent off!". And his predictions came true again, Raúl Albiol following in the footsteps of Del Horno (Chelsea), Motta (Inter) and more recently Sergio Ramos when he got himself red carded after giving away a penalty on David Villa early in the second half. Albiol (who misses Wednesday's cup final as a result) was one of four men to be sent off this weekend, Athletic's Castillo and Osasuna's Sergio both getting their marching orders for second bookable offences in the Basque derby, and Zaragoza's Uche also picking up a second yellow card for diving in the area late on in the match at Villarreal. Referee Paradas Romero made a bit of a mess of the plans of Mendilibar and Caparrós for next weekend though, showing twelve yellow cards as well as the two reds to take out Osasuna's Puñal, and Soriano and Athletic's Iraizoz, Iturraspe and Muniain. Puñal in fact is the first player to complete the five yellow card suspension cycle for the third time this season, and also banned next weekend for accumulation of bookings will be Tiago and Reyes (Atlético), Rubén Suárez (Levante), Pinillos (Racing), Arbeloa (Real Madrid), Medel (Sevilla), Rivera (Sporting) and Obradovic (Zaragoza).
