Three red cards in the midweek round of games, the first for Rayo's Botelho, who came up against old sea-dog Ballesteros in the match against Levante. Ballesteros, one of the hardest players in the league, fell a little too easily in a challenge with the on-loan Arsenal youngster, and the referee went for it hook, line and sinker. Having already got Real Madrid's Khedira sent off at the weekend for his theatrics, Ballesteros must be in line this season for an Oscar! Elsewhere Valencia's Jordi Alba was sent off at the end of the game at Barcelona for insulting a linesman's mother, and Betis keeper Casto got his marching orders for a foul on Zaragoza's Luis García outside of the area. Betis held on though for a fourth win in a row which takes them to the top of the table. (23.09.11)
