And the Golden Raspberry for worst actor goes to... José Alberto Cañas from Betis for his role in the sending off of Gary Medel! The midfielder could do with a spell at RADA if he wants a career on the stage, but his performance of the Dying Swan on Friday was still enough to convince Del Cerro Grande to show a red card to "The Pitbull", a fourth of the season for our top "Villain" from last year.

Medel picked up a two match ban, as did Espanyol's Raúl Rodríguez for reportedly insulting the referee from the bench (although the player strongly denied that he said what the referee put in his report). Getafe's Alexis was the only other player to be sent off this weekend, in his case after catching Valladolid's Ebert with a flying elbow, and he will be suspended for four games after making insulting remarks to the fourth official and then spitting at the local crowd on his way off the park.

Another ten players will miss next weekend's round of games after completing the five yellow card cycle, including Iborra (Levante), Gálvez and Chori Domínguez (both Rayo), Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Illarramendi (Real Sociedad) and Alvaro (Zaragoza), all of whom were given their tenth bookings of the season, and Brahimi (Granada), Marc Bertrán (Osasuna), Fazio (Sevilla) and Ricardo Costa (Valencia), who were all given their fifth.
