Once again only one outfielder was sent off this weekend, and once again it was a Málaga player! Weligton had actually chanced his luck midweek when he was let off with a booking after grabbing Messi by the throat, and this time he could have given away two penalties before finally getting his marching orders in injury time at Getafe for a second bookable offence. Elsewhere though there were two red cards for members of the coaching staff of Almería and Córdoba for protesting, and both should probably pick up two match bans. (29.09.14)
